Returning soon!

In the time I've been away I've quadrupled my wardrobe, completed my first year of uni, depleted my savings, worked two jobs, lost my camera, battled a re-occuring flu and made a resolution to be more reliable with blogging.

I hope you all had the most amazing Christmas!

I moustache you a question..

...but I'm shaving it for later.

So it's Movember and every male I know is growing for the cause. Which is great and all, but also sad because us ladies are being excluded from the fun. So here is my official Movember contribution..
I know what you're thinking, it' all natural baby! Some may say it's inspired by Tom Selleck but honestly I had it first, so stop piggy-backing off my style Tommy-boy! Although I must say I am flattered. Lets see you grow a better moustache. No, seriously, I challenge the blogosphere to grow a better flavour savour. Get growing!

Cup Day Parade.

So I mentioned in my last post that I participated in a fashion parade for Melbourne Cup, well here are photographs from said parade. I didn't really take many of my own photos as there were a few other cameras there whom I was intending on "borrowing" photos from, though after seeing those photographs I realise I should have taken more of my own. (That sentence sounds really nasty, but I really just mean that the things I would have liked to have shown you didn't get photographed.) I guess I'll know for next time! So here are a few from my camera..

How awesome is that Alice McCall pant-suit, worn by fellow blogger Tania, 3rd from the left? I'm totally going to buy those pants! Overall it was an amazing day, all the girls were wonderful to hang out with and amazing models. I can't wait for the next parade (promise I'll take more photos).

Timed post.

A group of us were stuck out at uni last night doing assignments (messing around in the lighting room). Apart from it being awesome fun, I have to admit I got almost no work done. Oops!
Check out our awesome dance-off skills! I'm pretty devo the camera didn't capture the eagle move I pulled next - pure gold, I tells ya! ..and now for a serious blogger pose..
Yep, thats about as serious as it gets! Here's what I wore;
Top: Vintage
Skirt: Ask Grace
Shoes: Vintage

As mentioned in the title, this is a timed post, my FIRST timed post. Go me! As you are reading this I will be walking in a local fashion parade for the Melbourne Cup. Which is a big horse race, for those who are not familiar. Be excited for me! I'll post pictures from the parade tonight, possibly.

Collab.

Today is possibly one of the greatest days as one of my favourite Aussie labels has announced a collaboration with Sportsgirl. Miss Unkon's feminine designs hit Sportsgirl shelves on November 14th so GET EXCITED! For more info see here.
Here is the lookbook for Miss Unkon's SS11 'Girls with Kaleidoscope Minds' so you can get a feel for the labels designs and form an idea of what to expect at Sportsgirl.

All Hallows Eve.

We don't generally celebrate Halloween in Australia. Though, I must admit I've been getting into the spirit of watching Horror movies every night. I also did attend a Halloween party the other night which I may show you photos of at some point. For now, here are some pictures from Planet Blue's latest campaign to get you in the mood..

Yesterday.

I spent all yesterday running around to every op shop in town gathering props and costumes for a photo shoot I'm working on. Let me just say, shopping all day is pretty tiring work! In the end I found everything I needed (and more!) then went home to pass out on the couch.

It's been way too hot lately, and it's only going to get hotter. You'd think I'd be used to the heat after 19 years, yet every day I resort to wearing a bikini around the house and as minimal clothing as possible when I'm forced to venture into society. So here's what I wore yesterday..

Footloose & Fancy Free

Nothing like a little Haute Couture to pick up a dull Thursday night. How amazing is this Paris Vogue editorial? I just love the energy Raquel Zimmermann exhibits through her body language and facial expressions. Don't get me wrong, I love the usual "deer in the headlights" look that most models adopt, but this shoot is just something else!
